Texas Computer Science as a Science ... or a Math

Currently, the chairman of SBOE has received letters and supporting documents from TCEA, TACS SIG, ISTE, and CSTA, and efforts are underway for testifying at the July board meeting – evidence of what can be done when we, as professionals work together, however ….

All of the above would have even more impact if it were supported by a demonstration of widespread support. We (including counselors, administrators, parents, and our legislators) can further support this effort by individually writing letters to our SBOE representatives. Please remember, we live in Texas and ultimately this is an issue of politics (votes). Letters are said to be more effective than emails and SBOE is responsible for the final decision.

The following should provide the relevant contact information. For those of us who work in one district and live in another, we might want to contact both representatives.
